My daughter made all the practices and driving worth it this past weekend. Woo hoo!!
We drove to Cypress (again!) for a long course swim meet. We were in Cypress the previous weekend for a water polo tournament. It’s the first long course swim meet of the season. We were also at a pool that we had been to before for a water polo game so that was good for her.
She swam the 50 Free, 50 Butterfly, and 50 Back on Saturday. She made BB times (USA swim standards) in all 3 strokes which qualifies her for the Champ meet! I am so proud of her!!
She had some long events on Sunday. She started off the 200 IM. She was 0.5 seconds off of a BB time on that one! Next was the 100 Butterfly. We still need to work on that one. I think she still has some mental blocks on it, too. It’s a hard stroke!! The last event was the 100 Free. That was the first event of the weekend where I realized she made a BB time!!
First meet of the LC season, and she has 4 BB times. ❤️ I know we are planning to focus more on water polo this summer, but it’s still so much fun to see her do well.
Overall, I am very proud of her. This was definitely one of those moments that makes it all worth it!!
